It operates on the same principle as the exhaust air-water heat pump. 2.Connection to exhaust air The Chleo Evolution and Chleo heat pump water heaters can be installed using an exhaust air configuration. The air extracted from the kitchen and bathrooms is hot and has a high energy potential. Instead of discharging this heat outside, the heat pump water heater captures the energy and uses it to heat the domestic hot water. This solution is particularly economical and ecological. The heat captured from the evaporator by the heat pump (generator on upper part) is transferred to the hot water tank via a stainless steel plate heat exchanger and an enamelled steel coil, in keeping with sanitation regulations. 3.Connection to room air The Chleo Evolution heat pump water heater can also be installed using a room air configuration. The principle is the same as for an exhaust air configuration, except that the hot air used to capture the heat comes from the room where the Chleo Evolution is located. In this configuration, the water heater is not connected to the ventilation system. The heat captured from the evaporator by the heat pump (generator on upper part) is transferred to the hot water tank via a stainless steel plate heat exchanger and an enamelled steel coil, in keeping with sanitation regulations. With this system, you can divide your energy costs by a factor of 2 or 3, while providing enough daily hot water for a family of 5.

Applications

Heat pump water heaters can be used in new construction and existing homes, with two possible types of connections. - In room air configuration, the heat pump water heater captures heat from the utility room where it is located (basement, laundry room, garage, etc.). The heat pump produces domestic hot water, with an electric heating element taking over if the water falls below a certain temperature. - In exhaust air configuration, the heat pump water heater combines two essential functions, namely ventilation and domestic hot water heating. When connected to the ventilation system*, it captures heat from the exhaust air before discharging it outside. The system produces hot water at an extremely low cost, while correctly ventilating the house. * self-adjusting vents only The tank is insulated with expanded polyurethane foam containing no CFCs, which limits heat loss and is environmentally friendly.
