It is composed of a generator (heat pump) and a 200 litre hot water tank. Chleo Evolution provides hot water and ventilation in one unit, providing two essential functions for optimal comfort in your home. This latest-generation heat pump water heater combines a heat pump providing hot water and a variable speed fan to ventilate your home. The energy absorbed by the heat pump and the low energy consumption of the fan ensure energy efficiency. With Chleo Evolution, just one unit provides hot water and ventilation! *compatible only with self-adjusting vents The unit can perform two functions depending on the type of configuration: - Produce domestic hot water (regardless of the type of installation) - Ventilation (only in the exhaust air configuration) Operation Our Chleo Evolution heat pump water heater operates using the same principle as an exhaust air heat pump, and can be connected in two different ways, in a utility room: - Exhaust air configuration The air extracted from the kitchen and bathrooms is hot and has a high energy potential. Instead of discharging this heat outside, the Chleo Evolution heat pump water heater captures the energy and uses it to heat the domestic hot water. With Chleo Evolution, just one unit provides hot water and ventilation! * compatible with self-adjusting vents only - Room air configuration The Chleo Evolution heat pump water heater also can be installed using a room air configuration. The principle is the same, except that the hot air used to capture the heat comes from the room where the Chleo Evolution is located. In this configuration, the water heater is not connected to the ventilation system. The heat captured from the evaporator of the heat pump is transferred to the hot water tank via a stainless steel plate heat exchanger and an enamelled steel coil, in keeping with sanitation regulations. There is a regulator to control the temperature of the hot water inside the tank, protected by an impressed current titanium anode. The smart regulation feature will activate the 1500 W steatite heating element only when the temperature stops increasing or when the anti-Legionnaire’s disease function is activated. This optimizes the operation of the heat pump and maximized energy savings thanks to the powerful compressor and an energy-efficient fan. See our Chleo Evolution solutions installed in a house.Chleo Evolution range in 3DHeat pump water heaterApplicationInstallation The monobloc structure of the unit makes it easy to install and perform the electrical, hydraulic and air flow connections. - The electrical connections are done via a terminal block accessible on the front of the unit. - The hydraulic installation of the generator is easy thanks to a filling kit built in to the hot water heater. Simply connect the cold water intake and the hot water outlet to fill the intermediary circuit, using a valve. - The air flow installation is done using 160 mm diameter ducts (exhaust air configuration only) that are insulated to eliminate the risk of condensation and minimize heat loss. The connections are 160 mm in diameter to limit pressure drops in the system, thereby reducing the energy consumption of the fan. Extraction is via self-adjusting, fixed flow vents. Humidity controlled extraction must not be used. A drain must be provided for condensates (1/2'' BSP). The handsome outer covers are easy to remove and provide full access to all the components of the hot water heater. The refrigerant circuit is assembled using 45% silver brazing and treated with an anti-corrosion coating.
